08.15.08 | Boulder Theater show a big success!

Our Boulder Theater event was a great success. Between 300 and 400 people atteneded the film, offering a rousing cheer at the conclusion of the film. The theater itself is fantastic—as is the staff. Velonews editor Ben Delaney was in attendance, as well as a large portion of their Boulder-based staff. Two-time, top-10 finisher Hank Vogels was also in attendance and spoke a bit about his impressions of Paris-Roubaix.

03.05.08 | In the trenches at Cutters
We traveled to Chicago last week to sit with our editor and assistant editor at Cutters Chicago, to continue the process of editing Road To Roubaix. The footage looks amazing, and the music written for the film by Paul O'Brien continues to inspire us. In the capable hands of Kathryn Hempel, the 30+ interviews, 2007 race footage, historical stills, and the McMillan and Kölln stills, will become a wonderful film to inspire cyclists and non-cyclists alike.

02.28.08 | Crew interviewed by Belgium Knee Warmers
The Road To Roubaix crew including, David Deal, Dave Cooper and Patrick Reis were interviewed by Radio Freddy of the blog Belgium Knee Warmers. The blog is full of great articles on all aspects of cycling. The piece will run in mid-April—around this year's edition of Paris-Roubaix.

12.29.07 | Final Interviews complete
The Road To Roubaix directors, David Deal and Dave Cooper have just returned from London with the final four interviews for the film. Photographers Timm Kölln and Camille J. McMillan were interviewed regarding their stellar photography work in the cycling world. Guy Andrews—founding editor of Rouleur Magazine—was also interviewed for the film. Rouleur is a beautiful quarterly perfect-bound magazine full of the most amazing photography the cycling world has to offer. The writing is equally strong, covering every aspect of racing and riding. And finally, Johnny Green, former road manager of The Clash, and author of Push Yourself Just a Little Bit More:Backstage at the Tour de France (among other books), sat with us to discuss the passion, drama, and utter insanity that is Paris-Roubaix.

02.28.07 | Solvang, California Trip
The Road to Roubaix crew traveled to Solvang, California in late January to interview members of the Discovery Cycling Team. The PR team for "Disco" was really great to work with, and we had the opportunity to meet some great people. The team looked strong. We spent two days following them on training rides, the ultimate was their 4100 feet above sea-level ascent and descent, and RE-ascent on our final day there. We got some great 16mm footage that you'll see in our teaser later this month.
